A longtime local favorite that used to be known mostly to Choryang residents,
do you remember Choryang Mukjip, the hidden gem that once sat on a steep hillside?
Loved for years by Busan locals and travelers alike, Choryang Mukjip has finally relocated and expanded right next to Busan Station— and it’s such a welcome upgrade.
The new space is much larger, and the interior feels polished, modern, and spotless, so it’s far easier to stop by than before. Best of all, the deep, comforting flavors and trust this place has built since 1972 are still fully intact. Here’s my look at the newly refreshed Busan Station muk restaurant. Choryang MukjipLet me show you why it’s still worth a visit.

A healthy bowl backed by 50 years of tradition since 1972
One thing that immediately catches your eye inside the shop is a framed display sharing the restaurant’s history and long-held philosophy.
-
100% handmade: Since 1972, they’ve been making their own muk the traditional way right here in Choryang.
-
No additives: They don’t use any chemical additives or artificial seasonings at all.
-
Natural ingredients: Everything is made with 100% natural ingredients, which makes the food feel light, gentle, and genuinely nourishing.
You can really feel the care they’ve protected over the decades, and honestly, it made me trust the food before I even took my first bite.
A cute mascot and a firm “no flour” philosophy
Inside, you’re welcomed by an illustration of the friendly owner and the adorable youngest mascot, Mukdori.
One of the biggest draws of Choryang Mukjip is simple: “No flour!”
-
They use only 100% Korean-grown buckwheat and acornsto make their dishes.
-
Thanks to the owner’s warm, generous philosophy, every meal here feels like it was made with your health in mind.
