As the weather started cooling down, I suddenly found myself craving Vietnamese food in the biggest way. I’ve traveled to Vietnam every year for the past three years, and I’m already planning a trip to Phu Quoc this November—so when I found an absolutely excellent pho spot near home in Jeonpo-dong, Seomyeon, Busan, South Korea, I had to share it. If you’re looking for a Seomyeon Vietnamese restaurant with real local character, this place delivers everything from the atmosphere to family-friendly dishes even my toddler loved.

A Little Slice of Vietnam in Jeonpo-dong: Vietnam Guppeu
The vibe starts right at the entrance. The moment I opened the door, it felt like stepping into a casual neighborhood spot somewhere in Vietnam. The space had that open-air, street-side energy, but still felt cozy and thoughtfully designed, with lots of little details that made it extra charming.

What We Ordered: Pho, morning glory, and more

Visiting with a Child: I came here with my 3-year-old daughter, and unfortunately they didn’t have a dedicated high chair. Still, to my surprise, she absolutely loved the pho.
Watching her drink the rich broth right down to the last drop made me think, okay, this place is the real deal. The broth was so flavorful and approachable that I’d easily recommend it for a family meal too.

Fragrant Morning Glory and the Bánh Xèo I Regret Missing
The morning glory here was excellent, with that savory, garlicky depth that makes the dish so addictive. I love morning glory to begin with, and this version was so good that next time I want to order it over rice and turn it into a full meal.
The only downside? I was so full that I couldn’t try one of the restaurant’s signature dishes, bánh xèo, a crispy Vietnamese savory pancake.
I’m already planning a return visit soon just to try the bánh xèo and work my way through more of the menu.

Great News for Cilantro Lovers: One Free Refill
For my husband and me, cilantro is never optional—it’s essential. At a lot of places, paying extra for more cilantro feels a little disappointing, but here they offer one free cilantro refill as part of the service!

Being able to pile on as much cilantro as we wanted made us ridiculously happy, and the owner was so genuinely kind that the whole meal felt even better. Even the tableware was beautiful—it looked like it had been brought straight from Vietnam.

I’m honestly so happy to have found such a great pho place so close to home. If you’re searching for a Seomyeon Vietnamese restaurant or trying to find the best pho in Jeonpo, Busan, South Korea, I highly recommend stopping by at least once.
Thanks to the incredibly kind owner, I left Vietnam Guppeu feeling full and genuinely happy after such a pleasant meal.
Next time, I’m definitely coming back to finally conquer the bánh xèo.
